Baja en la caja or Baja in the box is a kit form of the original Baja Palapa.

Baja in the box
uses 2 inch diameter rafters
and a 6 inch diameter main post, the 8 intermediate rafters, to help eliminate thatch sag, as well as the vinyl coated redwood band are carried over from the original Baja Palapa.
